NEWZ-AUG17th

Alot of news, first, Krayzie and Bizzy are working on doing an album with just the two of them. If they do an album, it will FUKING KILL. For Thugline, after Krayzies solo album comes out, Lareece will drop a solo album and Knieght Riduz will follow her. I will pick up both albums because I know both will be fucking tight as hell, especially Knieght Riduz. The second single to Krayzies album is going to be "Yall Dont Know Me". I really dont know why Bone continues to pick the songs that WONT be a hit, pick "Talk To Myself" or "Ride If You Like", both would be big hits. Onto Ruthless sueing Bone, they are sueing them because Bone used the option of leaving after 7 years and in the state of california if you sign to a company, you can leave after 7 years and Ruthless is sueing them because Bone is leaving for selfish reasons. To me, it is very stupid and I dont understand the whole thing. This is official, Bone has about 20 tracks done for the new album. I would expect they would make another 20-30 more and pick the top 15-20. Also, Bone will be dropping songs that they have just done Independantly and getting their name out there again. Expect to see some songs leaked around October/November. Bone still hasnt signed with any label and it is possible they just stay Independant. All this information was gathered from an interview and you can check that interview out at http://www.tharapscene.com/krazie/index.html. Thats all the Bone news I got, onto site news. . Keep on voting for my site, more updates coming soon. Peace

NEWS-AUG9
CHECK OUT THIS NEW KRAYZIE BONE INTERVIEW--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ms: What was the inspiration behind the first single, "Hard Time Hustlin'"?

kb: It came from personal experiences. Like when I was strugglin' in the house w/ my sisters, brother, and my mother--how our living conditions were low. Livin' in the house w/ no gas, water, nothing-you know what I'm sayin'. Like when I got older, I got tired of it, so I just went out on my own tryin' to make money on my own, hustlin'. And I got caught up and went to jail for it. So basically, it's a rundown of everything I'd went through.

ms: How many songs did you produce on the album?

kb: I produced about 4 songs on the CD, but I had the final say on everything. Made sure it was tight in the right places.

ms: Do you have any favorites?

kb: Yeah, I like "Hard Time Hustlin'"- 'cuz I'm a big fan of Sade.

ms: Yeah, I love Sade, she's that girl!

kb: Yeah, and for me to be doin' that song w/ her is like- unbelievable to me still. I still listen to it and I'm like 'maaan! I got Sade on here!'. It's crazy.

ms: Yeah I know right?

kb: Yeah, and I like another one a lot, too. The one w/ my group Kneight Riduz, "Kneight Riduz Wuz Here".

ms: Kneight Riduz?

kb: Yeah, they're real different- the group is rock, rap, and they wear masks--their faces are never seen. It's how they are, even off stage.

ms: Oh yeah? Will they be coming out w/ something soon?

kb: Yeah, they're workin' on their album right now. I have a lot of people interested in them, but I want them to be all the way developed before they make any commitments.

ms: How many songs did they do on this album?

kb: Just one song on this album. They were also on my last album and did one song. I don't want to give people too much of them yet. I want them to hear them and want more.

ms: Yeah, you want to have us antcipatin', huh?

kb: Yeah, that's what's happenin' right now too, 'cuz everybody is comin' up to me askin' "who are they?" "where do they come from?" They're really different. I had to sign 'em, 'cuz I'm really feelin' their music and their image.

ms: Do you think that artists are trying to be more diverse, or do you think everyone is sounding the same?

kb: I think it's a lot of people sounding the same, you know what I'm sayin', because to me, it's like everybody tries to do what's out there. Like, there could be a Ja Rule song out there--like the "me & you", and then the record company, they would want their artists to do something just like that, just because the concept was a winner and it was a number one song. But it aint cool, 'cuz everybody started tryin' to do that one thing, the same concept, just like that. Then you get too much of it. You've got to go the opposite way everybody else is goin', and that's what I try to do.

ms: Right, goin' against the grain.

kb: Oh yeah, all the time. I love goin' against the grain because I feel like I know how to put it out there in a way that it will be accepted. I can do it musically and still keep it thug.

ms: WELLLLLLL! So what do you think makes you stand out?

kb: Well, mainly w/ BTNH, the fact that we sing. We harmonize w/ our raps-the way we rap-the speed of the raps we do. We were just a different sound, a different look. You know what I'm sayin', we came out, we was wearin' braids, afros, and it was what everybody was remembering about us: our style of rapping and our hair. You know, they would describe us by our hair--the one w/ the 2 braids, the one w/ the hair all over his head. It was crazy.

ms: Well, around the same time y'all came out, another group came out....but umm, we don't hear too much from them anymore.

kb: Yeah, yeah.... I think I know who you talkin' about. It was either Crucial Conflict or Do or Die.

ms: Yeah, and you guys have been doing more than just maintaining-- y'all have longevity.

kb: Oh yeah, definitely.

ms: Are you or any other members of BTNH venturing out beyond music?

kb: Yeah, I'm tryin' to get into acting. I'm workin' on a movie right now. We had a song called "Ghetto Cowboys", and we're makin' a movie based on that.

ms: Oh yeah? Tell me a little about it.

kb: It's gonna be a Black western. It's will star hip hop and R & B artists, as well as some other actors. It's gonna be an all-star cast, and it will be action packed.

ms: When will that jump off?

kb: Well, right now we just landed it w/ Wesley Snipes' company. We're looking for a director right now. We're movin' right along with it.

ms: When did you start rapping?

kb: I started rappin' back in the 6th grade--from 1st through 5th grade, I was singing. I used to want to be a singer, I used to want to be like Michael Jackson and New Edition. Then when I went to the 6th grade, I started gettin' hip to rap, started listening to Run-DMC.

ms: Yeah... The singing brought a whole new dynamic to y'alls group.

kb: Yeah, 'cuz all of us have a singing background--Bizzy sings, too. We all have that old school musical background because of our parents, and just being into music. So once we all came together, it all clicked and we came up w/ our style.

ms: Yeah, y'all did. There are a lot of peeps who sound the same, and y'all managed to stay away from that. If you notice some of the clicks out there, their music sounds the same.

kb: Yeah, yeah, that happens a lot. That's why I tell a lot of my artists to be different. I used to get artists and they used to try and do exactly what I did, sound like me. And I would tell people- 'man, start rappin' the way you feel comfortable'. You aint gotta impress me, do what you do. And I stress that being original is the best thing. Because if you're original, people will respect what you do. It's better to have people tryin' to do what you do, than to do what everybody else is doin'.

ms: It's cool that you encourage originality. Do you have anyone else on your label? Thugline Records, right?

kb: Yeah, Thugline Records. Wishbone will be releasing his album on my label, and I have a female R & B artist, her name is La Reece. She's on about 8 songs on my album. She's gonna be the first artist released on Thugline.

ms: When will that drop?

kb: Right now she's wrapping up her album, so hopefully, not too long after my album drops. I'm trying to get her out there as soon as possible, because she's ready, she's beautiful, and man, she's talented.

ms: Well great! We need some more women out there to represent! And you brought Boss back into the light!! Thank you!

kb: Oh yeah! Boss is on my album. She's on two songs: "Thugger Level" and "Rollin' On Some Mo'".

ms: How did that collab come about?

kb: Def Jef works for my label and he used to produce Boss back in the day. So when I was workin' on the album, he mentioned her one day and I was like 'man what's up w/ her? what she doin' now?' and he said she was still rappin', tryin to do her thing. So I was like, 'maaan, you need to tell her to come on out to Thugline'. So he hit her up and she told him she loved Bone. She came out to LA., and we just started puttin' stuff down. And now, she's rollin' with Thugline.

ms: That's cool, 'cuz she's got skillz.

kb: Yeah, 'cuz she's just amazing. She aint missin' a beat. She fallin' right in w/ the times. But she still sounds like "Boss", she's just new and improved. She's off the hook.

ms: Do you plan to tour w/ this album?

kb: Oh yeah. Right now the record company is putting together a tour for the artists.

ms: Are y'all gonna tour out here in Europe?

kb: Definitely--I think I'm coming out there in September for the European tour.

ms: Well, thank you so much Krayzie for sitting down with me. I'm really diggin' the first single from the new album.

kb:Thank you.

ms: Much success to you.

kb: Thanks a lot.

CHECK OUT THIS INTERVIEW ON KRAYZIE BONE IT'S FUNNY
Krayzie Bone: Thug On Da Line
By C-Lee

A man of painfully few words, Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony seems exceptionally sane. Hes soft-spoken and unassuming. Cordial even. After speed-mumbling his way through six Bone albums and now on his second solo LP Thug on Da Line, in person hes so tacit one wonders if after all that high-powered wordsmithing hes simply run out of things to say.

The skinniest man this side of Snoop D-O-double-G, Krayzie Bone held the script to his upcoming Western flick in his spindly hands throughout his interview with Allhiphop. His characteristic blase attitude (you imagine this guy could lose a pinkie and not bat an eyelash) was betrayed by his enthusiasm about producing and starring in a film in which he will likely wear stirrups and shoot up several dozen thugs. On the heels of 1998s countrified "Ghetto Cowboy" hit off the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony album Mo Thugs Chapter II: Family Reunion, the film centers around the adventures of one Sawed Off Slim and should have a slew of hip hop hop celebs who will have caught the acting bug by production time (hopefully not regrettably so like some of those, ahem, in MTVs hip hopera Carmen).

Oh, and if youre wondering, yes, you can understand what hes saying when he speaks.

Allhiphop.com: Since you first came out with "Creepin on ah Come Up" in '94 to your current album, how has your sound changed?

Krayzie Bone: Man it's ghetto, um it's more, it's perfected more you know what I'm
saying, its grown. I concentrated on production more on this album, make sure I have the right beats for the right rhymes.

Boss is on your new album. Whats the deal with that, shes been gone for a bit.

To me she really put it down for like the gangsta rap thang, you know what Im saying, like cause I mean she was like the first female I heard, like Boss, for real.

She got some flack back in the early 90s for sort of fronting as gangsta when it turned out she had a sort of privileged past, studied ballet and such, her past wasnt as gangsta as she claimed it to be. Do you think that reflects on your own authenticity?

I mean no, not really, 'cause I know some niggas that went to college is killers, I know some niggas who didnt finish school whos business men, like myself, so its like man, shit man you can never tell for real.

After Ghetto Cowboy, youre now working on a feature length Western, whats up with your obsession with Western culture?

I always liked Westerns, you know what Im saying? I like how raw they used to be back in the day. Everybody had a pistol you know, just balling, niggas was getting shot in bars you know what Im saying? It was just wild, it was off the hook.

Ever ridden a horse?

Yeah, in the Ghetto Cowboy video, that was my first time.

Are you in touch with Flesh-N-Bone [whos serving an 11 year sentence for assault]?

Oh yeah, I write him you know what I'm saying. I wrote to him, I gottawrite him again. But I talk to him, he doin alright, he's maintaining.

Your were in lockdown too, before the business right?

Huh?

Weren't you in prison for a while?

Oh, yeah, yeah.

For how long?

Like a year and a half.

What did you do while you were there?

Man, basically just wrote, wrote songs, um played basketball. Just did whatever I could, like just read, trying to keep my mind off stuff.

What was it for?

What was it - it was um possession of a shotgun, yeah.

Didnt it have something to do with an altercation with Wish Bone?

Yeah, it had to do - it wasnt an altercation it was like me and him was like - we was like driving around drunk doing stupid shit and um I accidentally shot him. Shot him in the leg with the uh twelve gauge and it was like a whole big thing. He went to the hospital, police came, you know what Im saying, took me to jail and everything.

Did it affect your relationship?

Not at all, we do, me and Wish is like real close right now. But we cool, on a day to day basis we kick it, talk, whatever.

How do you feel about the Shyne verdict?

Man that's messed up you know what I'm saying? They starting to show rappers it's serious. They giving niggas time, for real.

What advice would you give him?

Man, just dont let them institutionalize your mind.

Youre considered the brains of Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, is that an apt description?

Man I do more of the creating, you know what Im saying? I came to that role, I guess it just - I dont know, everybody say I act like an old man so its just like I guess thats what it comes from -- sitting back looking at everything, looking at my life. I always watch the news, always try to stay conscious of whats going on in the world.

Um, why "Krayzie"?

'Cause Im crazy sometimes, you know.

Tell me the last crazy thing you did.

Man, the last crazy thing I did? I dont know, I cant remember. Damn (long pause) I cant remember.

Cant be that hard.

I dont know I aint done nothing crazy since-- Ive been kind of calm, like I aint done nothing crazy in a while.

Uh, ok, then Im going to tell you something crazy. In Florida theres this thing called the Baker Act where if you think someones done something crazy you can have them institutionalized against their will for 72 hours.

Word?

Yeah, like anyone can do this.

Hell no!

Hypothetically, do you think anyone would ever do this to you?

What? Hell yeah! Yeah, especially in Florida too. Hell yeah motherfuckers probably say Im crazy -- try to put me in that motherfucker.

Would you want to Baker Act anyone?

Hell yeah - Bush. Put his motherfuckin ass in there, for real.

You got any skeletons in the closet?

I dont have too many secrets, man. Shit, not really.

Ever broken a bone?

Uh uh, never had nothing broken.

I broke my collarbone recently. Do you have any expertise in this matter, any recommendations?

What, your collarbone? You know my father broke his collarbone like a while back at his job. He used to work at like a steel plant, he used to cut steel and like load it up and put it on a the truck so they can carry it out. One of the big ass coils fell on him and he broke his collarbone. And man, I forgot how long he was off, maybe like four months.

No way.

Yeah. But, he up and kickin it right now so -

So Im gonna be kickin it soon?

Oh yeah.

Ever gotten a boner at an inopportune moment?

Huh?

Ever gotten a boner at an inopportune moment?

At an inopportune - hell yeah, shit. You know sometimes, you know what Im saying, you be seeing some, you know, see somebody and you get to thinking, then you be like GOD DAMN!

"Sometimes it takes a woman to do a man's job." -Big Pun

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Sued By Comptown For Breach Of Contract.....................................
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have been sued by Comptown Records (doing business as Ruthless Records) on Wednesday (July 25) for breach of contract, fraud, and damages under the same labor code (2855) that Courtney Love and others have brought to court over the seven-year contract rule.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that the label is not challenging the California Labor Code 2855, which gives employees the right to "decline to render services pursuant to a personal services contract beyond a period of seven years from the commencement of services under such contract."

However, Comptown is taking issue with "the disingenuous and self-serving attempt of defendants to withdraw from valid, enforceable and binding commitments that they freely made, and from which they have profited handsomely and, in fact, have been unjustly enriched at Comptown's expense, under the guise of purporting to invoke their rights under Section 2855 of the California Labor Code in connection with contracts as to which seven years have not elapsed since the commencement of services thereunder," explains the suit.

The label is looking to "enforce its own rights under the statute to recover monetary damages sufficient to compensate" the label for its loss of revenues that it would have received from each of the albums that Bone promised, but failed to deliver, before the group informed the label that it didn't intend to record for it any further, according to the lawsuit. In addition to damages under Labor Code Section 2855, Comptown is seeking declaratory relief, injunctive relieve, and restitution.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's attorney, Jeff Kempler, could not be reached for comment at press time. The band's last album, The Collection, Volume Two, was released on Ruthless/Epic Records in November 2000; Epic is not named as a defendant or plaintiff in the suit.......... .......................
